Gopi Krishna : Co-Founder, CEO

Hi, I am Gopi, co-founder of wignite software innovations.  I enjoy building smart products using cutting edge technologies.  In the past 14 years, I worked on diverse technologies and fields ranging from cloud computing to embedded systems, telecom and networking software.

Prior to founding Wignite, I worked at Microsoft IDC in Hyderabad in various cloud computing teams. Live mesh is a  S+S (software plus services) platform from Microsoft for synchronizing data, applications across a mesh of connected devices.  I was responsible for the initial release of Live Mesh for mobile.   As part of this, I was involved in the architecture and hands on development of the cloud middle tier and the client for live mesh mobile.

I worked in the LiveFx analytics team of Microsoft where I was involved in the  analytics platform for some of the Live properties.  The system was designed to be internet scale and  scaled horizontally by intelligent partitioning of data  to handle hundreds of tera bytes of incoming log data.

As Director Engineering in Ethernet products group at Tejas Networks  I headed the software group which was responsible for all the ethernet related products at Tejas.   I was part of the key architecture decisions (software+hardware) and worked on multiple products and releases of Tejas Ethernet products.  I joined Tejas Networks during startup days and was part of the team which developed the Tejas NES (Network Element Software) which powers all the Tejas product lines.

Prasanna Krishnamoorthy : Co-Founder

Hi, I’m Prasanna, Co-founder at Wignite Software. I’ve loved technology and what I can do with it since I can remember. Since I used my first Mac, I also wanted to build awesome products that were as crisp, clean, and joyful to use.

Before Wignite, I worked at Elina Networks, a startup where I was the second employee, joining when we were in a small room in an incubation center, with no product and no customers. Through my 6 year stint there, I learnt by doing – marketing, technical sales, product design, product management – all on a tight budget! Over 6 years we built a team of 30, with more than 300 customers and 1500 installs.

At Tejas Networks, where I was a R & D Engineer, I joined hoping to find a use for my academic knowledge of Optical Networks.
